Reverend Flavian D. Coleman is the husband of Tammie J. Ficklin Coleman and they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Tamara and Vivian Coleman. He is the son of the late Mary Coleman of Hollis Queens, NY and the late Cornelius Jefferson of Bronx NY, also the grandson of the late Earnest and Eugenia Coleman and the late Willie and Laura Jefferson of Columbia, SC. Reverend Coleman was born in Harlem, NY and grew up in Taylors Community of Columbia, South Carolina. Reverend Coleman was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District One and graduated from A C Flora High School. Reverend Coleman continued his education at Midlands Technical College where he received an Associate Degree in Human Services, Limestone College where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. He holds a Masters in Counseling and a Masters in Organizational Management from Webster University. Reverend Coleman received a Masters of Divinity Degree from Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury NC. He furthered his studies at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Columbia, SC. He received a Master in Arts Christian Ministry. Rev. Coleman is the past President of the Windemere Springs Neighborhood Association. He is currently employed at the Leevy's Funeral Home Columbia, SC, and a Substitute Teacher with Richland School District One in Columbia, SC. He is also an Associate Volunteer Chaplain with Lexington Medical Center. He served in various areas of ministry prior to becoming an ordained minister.

Rev. Coleman was license to preach in January 2013 at Greenview First Baptist Church, Columbia SC and ordained by the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Association to minister at Greenview First Baptist Church in July 2015 under the leadership of Rev. Johnny C. Owens, Jr. Senior Pastor. Reverend Coleman is a member of the Greenview First Baptist Church where he served as an associate minister. Reverend Coleman has also sung with the Voices of Praise Choir, was the past Couples Ministry Chairperson, and past Sunday School Superintendent. Rev. Flavian DeWayne Coleman accepted the call and became the 19th Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church 1145 Old Windmill Road, Ridgeway, SC 29130. Rev. Coleman is looking forward to with great expectation and enthusiasm to see what God is going to do with him and Antioch in the next season of their ministry. "To God Be The Glory!" In his spare time, he enjoys reading, the arts, shopping and traveling.
